As a follow-up to the previous thread, I wondered who would notice that the rear wing struts and front aero planes are now black on the GTSR.
I have included more pics here. What I did can be 100% reversed back to perfect OEM within minutes. It did take hours to complete however. Most was prep for paint in painters tape, paper etc. to mask off and protect all other parts to the car. I used black Plasti Dip in the spray can. The texture dried identical to the texture finish on the metal splitter and skirts.
There is so much black on this car; you see all the dash/interior looking at the front or rear, the huge shiny black door stanchions, and on this model the additional front lower splitter and side skirts. Figured painting the parts that are allmost black - carbon fiber pieces on the Gen V would look good. Less than $20. in paint and tape and a Sunday paper. I first did one plane - 3 coats and let cure for a couple of days. Tested to see about the paint release and once started it pulls off easily in a large trash bag type consistency. Very easy but durable. Viper Exchange had two 2015 'GT2 Tribute' cars done (pic). I liked the black wheels, and the contrast of the carbon fiber parts to the stone white / blue stripes body colors and kind of emulated that look on mine.
