HID Balast removal

Are these hard wired into the loom or can they be disconnected to run a conventional bulb... Its an 09 going in for UK IVA test.. and because the car does not have levelling headlights it will not pass...

It sounds like such a PITA to import a viper into the UK. Especially an ACR. Brutal.
