Hey guys
Any ideas about how good or bad new Civic is?
I really need a simple car to go shopping and driving to my relatives in weekends. Viper is not a proper vehicle for that job, besides I sold my CLK Merc, so I need something for everyday usage. More reliable and fuel efficient.
Think about white Civic with 2.0L engine (don't like turbos)

What do you think? Maybe I should try something else? The budget is $25K

Ive had three hondas. They were great cars but when my last civic kicked the bucket way early (108k miles) i said i want a chrysler product for my next car. I would have bought a dart but with two little ones in car seats the extra space was necessary. So i got a Cherkoee.

Go look at a Dodge Dart!! We have 2 and are very happy with them.
I'm not impressed with the new Hondas. Last time my wife and I went shopping, she ended up with a Subaru Crosstrek. It blew the Honda/Toyota/Nissan products away.
I also drove a 2015 Dart, and I was really impressed with how it drove. It would make a great DD, and probably a lot more entertaining to drive than the Civic. Throw a Ford Focus in there too. Test drive them the same day and see what's more fun to drive.

You can pick up a nice new Chrysler 200 in that price range. Lot better looking than the civic too.

Damn...civics are huge these days. I remember when they were little.
My neighbors have a Subaru and we drove it recently to take their son to the zoo (we were babysitting and that way they could leave the seat in the car, those things are a bitch to move.) and I was pleasantly surprised at that car. It had the paddle shifters which were fun if you wanted to play around. Obviously it's nothing like a Viper or a Ferrari with paddle shifters. It was a nice car to be in though. I. Used to the torque of the Viper or my ram so once I learned that oomph wasn't gonna be there, it still had plenty of get up to get you on the freeway easily enough and stuff like that.
My brother used to own accords when he worked in tonopah nevada and he ran the damn wheels off those things. I don't think he even bought them till they had 80k on them and he drove them till they hit 300 or so. I am Surprised to hear of a Honda going out at 108k. That's pretty low compared to most Hondas on the road.

I had a civic for 3 years, put 125,000 miles on it and traded for a Dart GT 16 months ago. Both are good cars. Dart is more fun and less wind noise but I can't compare that to the new model civic since I haven't driven one.

Tell me about it. I wanted to keep that car for a few more years. The head gasket went at 86K miles!

That's the lemon of Hondas. I've seen those things get crazy high mileage while being sorely neglected.
