I put the viper on the dyno today to see what gains I picked up with the Arrow PCM and ARH headers catless going into the stock muffler. I gained very little peak HP, but i did pick up a solid 50+TQ. The picture is my 3 pulls today and an overlay of my highest pull back when the car was stock early this year. Same dyno, and atmospheric conditions were almost identical. A dyno is just a tool, and i'm trying to remind myself that, but I'm not very happy with around $4K worth of modifications. At least it sounds good.
Stock: 540/512
Now: 553/564

What type of dyno?
Plugs good? Air filter clean?
Those numbers seem lower than average.

Agree we usually see about a 40rwhp and 50ftlbs peak gain from stock. You picked up a bunch under the curve but should have made more up top in my opinion.

The dyno is made by dynocon. I'm not really too concerned with peak numbers, I just thought I would see more of a difference between stock and now. I thought the stock numbers were pretty close to being on track when I did them. I'll check out the plugs and air filter. Would a throttle relearn need to be done again? If this is all the car has in it, I'm fine with that, but if there is something going on, I would like to know why.

rpm seems to low at top end 5,500 - 5,600?

For sure, our peak power numbers are at around 6200 with headers and a PCM.

Looks like a stock tune with headers
Does your skip shift still work

Uh, looks to me they stopped the dyno pull too soon. I will bet if you continue to 6300, you will click off 580-590. I would go back and re-do it.

Were the tires spinning on the roller? That dive in horsepower production as it approaches 6000+ is odd.

Nope, it went until the limiter. That's not to say the dyno wasn't reading it correctly though. If I can find a babysitter tomorrow afternoon, I have a different dyno I can throw it on and see what's happens.
As for the air filter, it looks good. I checked a couple plugs on each side and they looked fine as well.
My skip shift is disabled and I have done several pulls to 6600, so I know it's the arrow PCM in it. The thought had occurred to me that the dealership might have messed with it last time it was in for warrantee work.
One other thing worth noting is in still using around 1qt of oil every 1000-1500 miles. I didn't think much of it until today, but I just hit 8k miles. I figured it would have stopped by now. I really hope there isn't some larger issues going on. Thankfully my local dealership is cool and will help me out any way they can.

Only other thing I can add or suggest is make sure the hood is closed whe doing the pulls?

Hood was closed. I am putting it on a dyno jet dyno tomorrow, so hopefully I can get a little more information on what's going on with the car. I'm trying not to get too worked up about it, but at the same time all I can think about is my $100k car sitting in the garage not knowing if there's something wrong with it or not.
I am very thankful for this forum and Andy for reaching out to help me. I'm sure one way or another I'll figure out the issue.

More importantly, how does it drive and feel? If you didn't have the numbers to back it up before/after, would you still be unhappy?

Good read. These are the same 2 mods I want to make too so I always read threads on the topic. By looking at your graph, the peak hp is at too low a rpm. Stock, a gen V's peak HP is rated at 6K. The PCM and headers would not have moved the HP peak down the scale. Im thinking its a dyno difference. Looking forward to seeing Dynojet numbers when you can. Im sure car is fine. Keep us posted and enjoy the car regardless.

If you do the dyno tomorrow, keep any eye on the IAT, Steve M as some good info on what the PCM does with high IAT and ECT. Also I'm sure you did this but also make sure to turn off all the traction controls mode's.

Ok, I put it on a different dyno today (dynojet) and am seeing results like I should. I also had done a stock pull when the car was new, so it was a good before/after. its still on the lower side of things in the peak HP numbers, but I have never really cared about that. I just wanted to see the true gains. The powerband pulls all the way trough 6600 and it looks more in line with other cars with similar mods.
Stock: 518/490
Today: 569/570
Gain: 51/80 to the wheels.

Some of these cars use more oil than others. I think your oil usage may be "normal" especially if you drive the car hard. Continue to monitor, but I wouldn't let it stress you out.

Good results!
You might want the dyno shop to print the run with "SAE Smoothing" instead of "STD Smoothing" since Standard inflates the numbers a bit.

What we need now is a pair of larger throttle bodies to go with these exhaust side improvements, but they don't seem to exist.

Now thats more like it! Those results confirm my urge to do these 2 mods. This should be a big seat of the pants difference while driving.
