What are the stock Gen V 0-60 numbers? Nine Ball's 10s thread got me to wonder (a) what the mags produced, (b) what owners have produced, and (c) what the manufacturer produced if any?

Published times have varied from 3.2 to 3.7. Not sure what Tony pulled off on his run though.

On my video, looks to be about 3 seconds to 60. 1st gear ends at 61 mph. I used this online stopwatch (http://www.online-stopwatch.com) to time the moment the car moves, until the end of 1st gear. Came up with between 2.995 and 3.110 seconds. About 3.052 seconds averaged, for my own timing errors.

0-60 is a misleading metric nowadays, when comparing cars. It is mostly based on traction, which is why AWD cars like the GT-R do well in those tests. I really wish they'd move the comparisons to 0-100 mph nowadays, which would reduce the traction and silly shift points flaws, and be more realistic for comparing performance cars. My Viper trapped 100 mph in the 1/8-mile, so 0-100 would be a good distance to have power and gearing factor more into the test. Not just a traction race and no shift.

I mentioned 0-60 mph times before and the consensus was that its a limited juvenile measure; but carry on lol

Amazing how when you see sub 4 second 0-60 that the general consensus is "meh."

I agree with Tony. 0-100 and 50/60-130 are great tests. 0-150 is great too.
