help me decide which acr spec

so i have narrowed my choice between 3 colour choices and examples are below, i am leaning towards the gts-r blue but each day makes me change my mind

I have a SRT in the GTS-R Blue. Love how the color changes from a black to bright blue to a purplish-blue depending on how the sun hits it. From 20 feet away some people think the car is black. The other options are nice but they will remain on color.

If you were doing any track days then I'd lean towards the first one. The lighter colors are better for dirt and light scratches when they occur. And hide films and track wraps better.

I was just looking at a gts r car online this morning. I believe it has dragged me from black to liking it more. I've not seen it in person but I'm sure it's amazing, I love that black to blue effect. With the drivers stripe, boom goes the dynamite.

I have seen the GTS-R Blue in person, it is absolutely gorgeous. It is Darius's car. He has commented that the blue is as impractical as black, it shows dirt like crazy. If you're ok with that, then that would be my choice.

I personally don't like ACRs with just the driver's stripe, it just doesn't look balanced or right to me. But if you do, don't let my preference sway you. I would add the black wide center stripe to it so that it would look like this. Probably not the best picture to see the black stripe but you get the idea...

Blue or black with red stripe looks really nice. It's clean with just an accent! Obviously you really can't go wrong with any of your choices.

Of the three, I think the white w stripes is jaw dropping gorgeous. That being said, I ordered Billet Silver Extreme w stripes... so what do I know :slap:

I like he GTS-R Blue with the red stripe. I love the gen IV in black with the red stripe. But for the V and your question, I like the R blue with red stripe.

I've seen a Gen IV ACR in a paint configuration similar to #1 and that looks great. I don't like black cars because of how it shows up dust always.

This really is a matter of opinion. Personally, I'd easily go white, and would never even consider a dark blue or black.

I think we see the inherent problem with these types of questions. If you asked turbo or supercharger, people could probably help you decide which is best for your needs. But a question about color, I doubt you are any closer to your decision than you were before you asked.

My personal thought, you really want the blue because you singled that one out. I think that means it has a special place in your mind. Or heart, depending on how romantic you want to get about it.

If you're worried about how it will be to live with, go with the white one. My last Viper was white with blue stripes, and you could only tell it was dusty by looking at the stripes.


I live in an industrial city, with plenty of dust, so the only thing dumber(for me) than buying a black vehicle, would be taggin' a prostitute without a rubber.......

I've never had a white car and always found solid white a bit dull, however with the acr stripe it suddenly looks beautiful. My current vipers are red and black and they both look stunning, the red really pops in the sun. The black just looks so evil and at night it's like driving the bat mobile. The blue in some photos is very different to how light hits it, I had a shelby in the kona blue and it was lovely.

I think the answer is I'll be going with white having never had it before and it's the one I find most attractive.

What if you pay her extra and she promises that she only goes bareback with you? Then it's ok, right? That's what I did in Brazil so I knew that I was the only one who got to do that with them.

Yeah dark colors require more work than white. But If that's what you want, there are ways to keep it looking good. White is the most forgiving. I mean, even yellow shows swirls way worse than white. But it's not like the car is going to sit outside and get punished. Tracking can be tougher on a car than street driving (which beats up our lower fascia pretty bad as is) but I am sure you will spd please a clear bra at least on that if you are really gonna spend time on the track. I wouldn't let the issue of showing dirt make you not get the color you want. I also think as far as resale, they will both sell equally well. That's my opinion at least. For different reasons, but equally quickly.

I have a GTS with the GTSR blue metallic with pearl coat and it's a special color. Like most have said the metallic paint changes and looks blue, black and sometimes purple. I love it and would recommend it with the black center band and red drivers stripe. Also it does get dirty like all cars but when you wash it, the metallic blue with pearl cost adds so much depth and range to every curve it'll remind you everyday you made the right choice. GTSR blue ACR's with any stripe look hard as F*%!.
