View Full Version : What serial number and year is your engine?

I know my gen II does not have the original motor and it supposedly has a crate motor which may or may not have a VIN.
Either way, I don't have a camera or anything that can get to where the VIN would be on the block.
What I can see pretty easily is the serial number on the front driver's side of the block.
If I understand correctly, the top number is the part number and the middle (6431) is the serial number.
13884
There is also a marking on the bottom of the block dated 9-15-98(k) which leads me to believe this may not be a cream puff motor.
I am curious to know if anyone has any details on what years the serial numbers on the engines span.
If not, perhaps others can post their block serial number and their model year which would give me a general idea.

Wow.
This place is fun. I feel like I'm at my Auntie's house with the couch still sealed in slippery plastic.

Or the such?

You'd get away with that, but:
If you brag about street racing while listening to pirated music while posting naked pics of topless cheerleaders yelling obscenities that offend forum mebers; simultaneously bumping your unauthorized vendor ads while bashing a mod....
...well, that might be frowned upon.
Keep your avatar Viper related brah.

Enthousiasts always have great ideas for the forum. Perhaps cause they haven't been distracted by having to pay to be members. I'm always glad to get their input on what we are doing wrong.
