I performed a search here 1st before I posted newbie Q.. But my research so far has indicated that there is NOT a Skip Shift Eliminator for Gen IV/2009 other than the Mopar ECU, is that correct folks?
Thanks,
MI V.

Problem is depending how you drive it may still set a code
P080B-SKIP SHIFT RATIONALITY
Theory of Operation
The manual transmission is equipped with a skip shift solenoid that when requested by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) will engage the solenoid. When the skip shift solenoid is engaged, the 2nd gear shift gate is blocked and an intended 1-2 shift will cause a 1-4 shift.
•When Monitored:
Engine RPM greater than 1300. Transmission in 1st gear. Skip shift requested between 15 - 25 mph.

Westx,
I looked at that thread, I think it might be a solution, it just seems to me that a lot 09 and 10 viper owners are just dealing with this issue by using the far RH pedal! :) Thanks for the link, still sitting on the fence. BTW, I lived in Abilene TX for about 6 years, working at Dyess AFB.

Mopar PCM will also get rid of the skip shift.
TR6060 is used in Gen IV and Gen V and later year C6 Vettes and GT500 Mustangs, AFAIR.

Skippies are usually an annoyance for heavy-traffic drivers, and for newbees..... YOU'LL OUTGROW IT SOON!
The BEST "Skip Shift" eliminator is a 3:55 rear gear! You are then 'in the skip zone' for far less time...just a blink or two

I'm still trying to figure out why this damned thing is even mandated. Anyone care to take a whack at the answer? I don't see it helping in anyway emissions or otherwise.

Jon,
I got it, In fact, I have already mastered it in the last couple of days, my wife has also mastered it.. There is just a lot of conflicting info on the web, whether or not the skip shift eliminator module would work on a 2009-2010 Gen IV, that's all.
