Since we pretty much can always use a good price on 0w-40. And while I'm sure this eventually goes bad or whatever but not like milk. I'm fairly certain we can stock up for a few oil changes worth.

26.44 for 5qt 0W-40 jugs and free shipping over 50 dollars which should be easy since we need 12 qts. I know they do that good rebate too sometimes but this just appears to be a good price with free shipping. I hope this helps someone.

Happy oil changes. Nothing like getting big jugs delivered right to your door on the cheap.

Been buying dozens a month from them for business. If you have a Walmart near or far, wait for a sale. It's usually drops to 22-24 and would be worth the trip to stock up. If memory serves, I think the sales are once every quarter or twice a year.

Also, there are those who think that Walmart Mobil is dumb downed Mobil 1. I've been in the oil business for almost 30yrs and can tell you that I have had many discussions about this with my suppliers and Mobil themselves. Real deal.

For track rats, the 15w50 is even cheaper at 23.88.

5w 50 mobile 1 would also be a great choice for the Track and Street duty.

I guess 4 jugs will do both my 98 and 14. I wonder if I should use the 0w-40 in the 98 too or what a good combination of 4 jugs would be to do both cars ? I don't track either car but do get in some spirited driving on the street.

5w or 0w is not a big deal. Either or.
Once the car's oil is up to temp the characteristics have changed and that is where the 20,30,40, or 50 part steps in.

No problem.

Congrats on the new vehicle. Sounds like quite a week for you! Enjoy!

And yes I am aware that wal mart usually has the best price on Mobil one, but usually here it's not quite that cheap and sometimes they are out of it and this includes free shipping so you don't even have to leave your house to get it. That's why I posted it. 26 bucks for straight to your house seemed pretty good to me.

I had never heard that. And would have dismissed it anyway. For that matter, recently someone tried to tell me that ammunition at wal mart isn't as good as the ammunition at gun stores. I asked, so you mean Remington ammunition, when wal mart orders it, isn't as good? But when a small gun stores orders ammunition from Remington, they get the good stuff? Obviously a lot of consumer myths out there.

Though it's cheaper, one wouldn't want to use it for non track driving, right?
