Those of you who know me know I'm always aware of safety especially in a roadster. I have intended on installing a roll bar since I took delivery a year ago this month but somehow time escaped me as I procrastinated since I didn't want to give the car up for a couple weeks to get it done. Now that it's prime top down season in Houston (until next June!) I finally did it!

Kenny Bumbera, owner of Bumbera's Performance Associates, did an over the top install of an Autoform roll bar! He had to modify a Gen IV roll bar to fit a Gen V, completely disassemble the cabin and build a new fiberglass back panel since most of the electronics are underneath it. I have examined it VERY closely and it looks absolutely perfect. Anyone needs a roll bar take it to Kenny - he's da man!

Here are a few cell phone pictures. The little nick on the seat belt guide has been touched up already - the finger pointing to the small screw shows it is modular and can easily be taken apart if the electronics underneath need servicing. They worked really hard to match the paint to the seats and put a flat finish on it so it looks similar to the leather!

As good as that looks, why hasn't Dodge came out with a vert yet?

I continue to ponder the same thing. I held out with my '08 roadster for a long time after the Gen V came out thinking they'd bring out a convertible but when we were at NVE1 a year ago and Prefix/Viper Exchange rolled out the Medusa I figured Dodge wouldn't be bringing one out any time soon so I committed to buy one within 30 minutes of Ben and Bernie rolling it out! Ralph has seen it and signed the valve cover with xoxo's!!! Guess that means he likes it too!

Alan, give Kenny a call and he'll fix you right up. I'm very impressed with his attention to detail and incredible care he and his staff took to make this perfect

Looks great! nice job by Kenny and his crew on the installation....thanks for your purchase of the Autoform roll bar... I think it is just what the Medusa needed. We are currently doing a custom install of another one in our shop here in Michigan as well.

They did and it looks exactly like the MEDUSA. I saw it at DOW in Michigan in the back under a cover. I am glad the MEDUSA's are available though for people that want one.

I LOVED the "LOOK" of my Gen 4 verts- a lot had to do with the "finished" aspect with the roll bars behind the seats!! Your adding of the roll bar makes it look more "complete"!! Looks fantastic-looks complete IMO-GREAT ADDITION!!!!

Thanks! That's what I have an ACR-X clone for! Anyway she'll be on the track at NVE2 next year so we'll see how she handles especially since I've put the Viper Exchange dynamic suspension on her!

Thanks - and you're right on the Gen IV - I put an autoform roll bar on my '08 within a year of purchasing it and painted it Venom Red just like the car! When I saw what the factory put on them I about climbed on a plane to Detroit to rip them a new one - hollow aluminum coke cans are not proper for such a beast!
