NY/CT New ACR Welcome Gathering? [Archive]

I know we have several members who have made the plunge into the 2016 ACR - Very excited for you all!

The delivery for most is probably close to the end of the driving season, but I'd like to start a dialog here and see if there's a chance to get 3 or 4 or more of these new monsters together with the rest of the gang for a photo shoot and hang out. (so a bunch of us can drool haha) Not going to formalize any date/time right now, just keep our fingers crossed for extended warm weather.

So if you have a sense when your ACR is coming home, post up :cool:

soon I guess ????? ...stock color and ordered the first day Extremes were open to order. But who knows. All I know is I am Viperless now :( first time in 12+ years

Yes. I've been wrestling with the decision until yesterday. It's done. Bill P @ Woodhouse made me an offer I couldn't refuse. White Base ACR via the 1 of 1 program. I'm going to do the Arrow heads/cam package from Woodhouse. I probably won't see the ACR until March so....gonna be a long wait.

It's a small world. Yesterday, I took my dog to our local dog park. I wore my VOA jacket. A guy comes up and tells me if I have a GenV. He said he was up near Bear mountain earlier in the day and saw a white ACR with a "big f*******! wing" tearing around. It had temporary Texas registration. I told him it was "White Lightening". :witless: What are the odds of that encounter? He's a car guy (GM) and we discussed Vipers/Vettes for an hour as our dogs humped each other. It was a great bonding moment. In all seriousness, he's been saving up for a Viper ever since he saw the '97 B/W. Seeing White Lightening's Viper made his day. ;)

White Snake has arrived in frigid CT early this morning. ACR is home and let the waiting begin for decent weather so I can start the break-in process. Will post better pics but here's a quick shot of the beast in the garage. ;)

Yes, I didn't entirely copy Steve. ;) It's the ACR non-extreme aero, ACR interior, CC brakes, etc. I went the 1 of 1 because the ACR package also included a hood liner, sound proofing, carpeting in the trunk and the 12 speaker audio. It's ******* gorgeous. I'll show it to you before the wrap is done and after. But this is sexxy....I'm going to spend some alone time with it tonight in the garage. ;)

For reference, I believe my ACR and those that shipped around the same time will be the last ACRs to have the splitter shipped separately. Bill tells me they figured out how to ship the splitter with the ACR without causing issues with the interior.

Way too much information Steve. ;) No worries, ACR Steve Jr. is hibernating for the winter. Never got it out on the road, only 5 miles on her but with all of this salt-sand on the roads and freezing temps I will wait until spring.
