I just bought mine from Torrie, $399, total was $450 includes FL taxes and $10 s/h. If you click on the link to Tories store it states in stock ready to ship. When I checked out, the MSRP is at $799, not sure if this is an intro price or that is just a marketing technique. For the price I paid, it's about the same as the previous version.

I'm not familiar with SCT tuners... I hear this one can datalog. What else is new about it?

I'm new to tuners in general. I'm used to Carburetors and mechanical fuel pumps. But I know I need a tune, my wideband is reading a little rich after a few bolt-ons.

Old version only stores 3 tunes. This one holds 10 different tunes. Logging is the main difference.

As soon as they release it for the Gen4 I'll be thrilled.

it says vehicles from 96 to 2012, wouldn't newer cars like 2012 challengers and 2008-10 vipers be included??

I just confirmed with Torrie from unleashed tuning. The link goes to him anyway... The Gen4 Viper is NOT included on the list of "Most" vehicles. It's still in work by SCT, just not supported YET.

Do you have to go thru a tuner to get the tunes loaded up or can you do it on your own? This is why I like the Vec, you can modify the tune yourself and not have to wait for another person to respond and hope they get it right thru email.

This unit probably needs a shop to tune it. The older version did have an upgrade option, pro-kit that I believe allowed you to tune it yourself.

Its a start and logging was something that was def. missing in the old units. I went out and got an AEM due to the fact that the SCT couldn't log and i wanted to o things right. If this would have been out last year, I'd own one.

hhhmmmm, decisions, decisions.I have a handheld SCT from my last viper that I need to get the vin unlocked, but it doesn't do data logging. I wonder if I should just sell it and get this new SCT.

I used an SCT X3 on my Old GT500 and the live data logging is a wonderful tool. Much better than the X2

Granted I do really like the 10 different tune option. Mild, Medium, Race, nitrous, economy, valet, e85, and anything else you can come up with. I see a big benefit to the tune option. I already have unlimited data logging. Gotta love the ELM327 for the logging purposes.
