I've been noticing that if I accelerate hard in 1st then push the clutch in and shift slowly to 2nd I can feel the car slow down much more than if I was just coasting. I was playing around with it a bit today and even noticed it coming out of 2nd. The brakes are definitely being applied slightly from deceleration. This explains the brake light coming on during shifts. I also noticed it takes very little pressure on the pedal to actuate the brakes. Is there a fix for this? Stronger brake return spring? Recall?

Maybe it has something to do with the hill assist feature?

You mean I've been beating Corvettes and exotics while using my brakes at the same time? Damn. :)

My '13 needed a new brake light switch, it was too sensitive and flickered when stabbing the clutch pedal hard. Never felt brakes dragging though.

It's especially noticeable on my 1-2 shift if I run it to redline, but delay putting it in 2nd. I think with traction control full off, sometimes it has been less noticeable, and also with the Arrow PCM.

Try the same thing with everything TC disabled and see if it feels the same.
