View Full Version : So Cal SRT and TA owners
Anyone live in the Orange County area with a SRT or TA willing to give me a ride? I've test driven a GTS but having trouble finding a local dealer within 50-100 miles from me that I can check out and drive right now. I am hoping to get into another Viper in the next 3 months(fingers crossed).
I am in Mission Viejo. Thanks in advance.

I few of the Socal Viper Club members will be running at the Camarillo Autox on August 15, we'll be more than happy to show you what the Viper can do. However you have to get there right around 8, otherwise you won't be able to get inside the airport on your own as all cars coming into the event has to be escorted. If you get there after event starts, then you just have to wait by the gate and wait for other cars to either enter or exit the event.

I made a similar post in Norcal (but to get a ride in a 3/4 Coupe) and nobody reached out. VprBite (who's in Arizona did).
Coincidentally I was going to Az anyways to visit Mom in the hospital. Met VprBite and got to ride in a full exhaust 06 Coupe.
Zee, post up your ride when you get it. If and when I get mine I plan to take it to Socal and hang with members there. Maybe even drive to Az.

i'm in san diego but have a GTS and the 3 other gen V guys i roll with all have a GTS. the one member i know in San Diego with a SRT has Greg Good heads, long tube headers and is spraying a 200 shot so I'm not sure if his car is a fair comparison. if you want to drive another GTS I have a 14 with TA sway bars, TA alignment, ARH with cats, under drive pulley, K&N drop in air filter and arrow pcm.
Thanks everyone for the offers - I will definitely try to make the so cal meet this weekend. Sounds like a lot of fun!
KB - I really want to see what the SRT and TA feel like. I love the GTS ride, but want to compare so I can really narrow down what I want with my budget. Appreciate the offer and will definitely be in touch with you!

Hi KB, I would like to ride in your '14 w/ ARH headers as I'm contemplating getting headers for my TA, I espcially want hear how it sounds w/ the cats. I'll be in the San Diego area next weekend, any chance we can get together?

I completely understand. I can say I owned a SRT for approximately 5k miles and the ride quality compared to a gts is night and day due to the non adjustable suspension. If this is going to be a car enjoy on a regular basis the dual mode suspension is a must unless you want to buy and after market suspension. Just my .02.

Zorraine,
You can come down to the shop and I will take you for a ride in Mine. 2014 srt white. Has Lowering Caps / ARH 1 7/8 headers no cats / stock mufflers HP tune. But do it quick before the car comes apart to start the Supercharger install. :)
Todd
Bruce, Your always welcome to come down and hear what mine sounds like as well.

Zee, I'm curious to hear about the TA's suspension too, I've read that they are dual mode. Wondering how the "street" setting is in comparison to a GTS and a regular SRT.
How close are you to finding something? Decided on a color yet?

I am going to go visit Todd soon to try out the SRT. I have not found a TA to ride in yet. Assuming I like the ride, my dream is to own an Orange TA but will likely not happen unless I get lucky since my budget might be too low for the TA. I definitely know I can get into a clean SRT within my range, and maybe even a GTS with higher miles.
My top color choices are Orange (TA), Blue with white stripes(LE), White (TA or SRT), and MAYBE black if the deal is great (TA, SRT, GTS).
The challenge I am having is although I enjoyed the GTS ride, I really just LOVE the SRT hood.

I'm sure you've seen my post in Alley, you posted in the thread too. But heres a black TA for $84k, in Washington State.

Yes saw that. Sweet looking ride. Does not look like that great of a deal to me - I have heard from multiple members that the TA they got was in the mid to low 80s and had less miles than this black one.

I have been hearing this a lot. Thanks for your feedback. I heard the TA dual mode really helps a ton when driving on street. I will primarily be using for street so that's definitely important to me.
